Spain in the 50s. A decade of creation
Fundación Málaga takes part in this exposition, organised by SEACEX (Sociedad Estatal para la Acción Cultural Exterior)
The showing gathered more than 300 pieces, among which stood out the creations of painters such as Tápies, Saura or Millares, Chillida and Oteiza’s sculptures, the work of designers such as Manolo Prieto, Catalá Roca and Pérez Siquier’s photography, and Coderch or Sainez de Oiza’s projects and architectural works. This wide selection of works was accompanied by cinematographic sequences and first editions from works by writers such as Camilo José Cela or Sánchez Ferlosio. This event had the collaboration of th art museum called “Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, and Málaga local government.
Málaga was the only Spanish city that was home to this exhibition that afterwards travelled to “Mücsarnok Kunsthalle” in Budapest and to the Modern Art Museum in Prague.
