Fundación Málaga and MC Real Estate Agency, as Special Collaborator of Fundación Málaga, sponsored the preparation of a facsimile edition of the cards made by the Real Fábrica of Macharaviaya-Arroyo de la Miel. This recreation was made in 2005 by the designers Pilar Ruano and Carlos Monserrate.

This factory, from 1776 to the beginning of the 19th century, was in charge of the national production of playing cards destined for America. The paper used was made in Arroyo de la Miel (Benalmádena), where several paper mills were installed.
