In this concert, recorded and distributed on DVD and under the artistic direction of Octav Calleya, titular conductor of the Orquesta Clásica Andaluza and Orchestra Conducting Professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Málaga, pieces by the Málaga composers Antonio Rozas, the Overture «Zamarrilla», and Eduardo Ocón, «Andante y El Miserere» were performed.

Fundación Málaga sponsored the Young Conductors Concert, offered in 2011 at the Church of Sagrado Corazón de Jesús in Málaga. This event was attended by the young directors José Antonio Guerero, Daniel García Caro, Marta Silva Pérez, Bartolomé Pérez Botello, Juan Antonio Guerrero González, Juany Martínez-de la Hoz Casas, Mª. Ángeles Rozas Carballo, Silvia Olivero Anarte, Diego González Ávila, Mª. del Mar Muñoz Varo and Ángel Luis Garrido Pérez, who were in charge of the Joven Orquesta Provincial de Málaga.

A program with works by Beethoven, Dvorak, Mendelssohn, Rossini, Turina, Falla and Marquez was performed. The artistic coordination of the event was done by Octavio Calleya.
