The main purpose of the game is to bring young people closer to issues such as waste management and urban cleaning and is aimed at young people between the ages of 12 and 18

The environmental video game “Clean City Málaga” was created and designed by the Environmental Department of the Málaga City Council and Fundación Málaga, with the aim of bringing environmental management closer to young people in Málaga and promoting good environmental values and habits.

“Clean City Málaga” has been distributed completely free of charge in the city’s educational centres, with the aim of reaching the school population of Málaga between 12 and 18 years old, which is 25,316 students, distributed in 109 centres. These centres have reached an enrolment rate of 62% of the centres with 61 registered centres and a total of 12,280 students enrolled in the programme.

It has received the Innovation Award at the eleventh edition of Campus Party 2007.
