Gibralfaro en Fiestas Concerts
This musical event enriched the cultural offer proposed for the August Fair in Málaga, as part of the various activities that the city launched to opt to become European Cultural Capital of Culture in 2016.
Fundación Málaga has collaborated with Málaga City Council and Fundación Pública Teatro Municipal Miguel de Cervantes in the Ciclo de Conciertos de Música Clásica “Gibralfaro en Fiestas” 2004, 2005 y 2006, that took place in the courtyard of this fortress in Málaga.
This concert series has brought together leading figures from the international classical music scene, including: the Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble, the Quartet of Virtuosos de Moscú, the Dufay Collective, and the Hungarian pianist Tamás Vásáry.
